    1. The Legend of the Blue Eyes was good. I liked it. But if I'm being honest it's not something I would pick up again. Basically the entire book is about Arianna being doted upon by almost every young male she comes into contact with. Very little focus is on the actual plot, which is the legend. While I do recognize that this is the first in a series and therefore more of an introduction rather than a continuation of a plot, I felt more time needed to be spent on progressing.Instead, the only progr [...]

    2. Okay! WOW! This novel is amazing!! I'm surprised at just how much I enjoyed reading this novel! The Legend of the Blue Eyes is the first novel in the trilogy and let me tell you, its worth a read! B. Kristin McMichael has a new and original take on Vampires and the Vampire World. Divided into clans the Vampires or rather "night humans" are at war and Arianna(main character) is the only hope of uniting them. Arianna is an captivating character, she's sweet, kind, and strong. Of all the characters [...]

    3. I would characterize this book as “excellent concept, poor execution.” The concept of this book was/is extremely promising; on her 16th birthday Arianna Grace learns that she is vampire and baku (demon) half-breed caught in the middle of a centuries long war between the two for control of the night. Where the story falls apart (for me) is that there is no growth for Arianna – other than to suddenly have boys start declaring their undying love for her. The boys (Devin, Turner, Andrew) were [...]

    4. Put away all your preconceived notions about Vampires. This novel will blow you away, and just may invite you back into your previous love of the supernatural. [If you’ve left it, of course] I’m the type that puts certain genre books on the ‘back burner’ at times, because I get sick of the same repetition with different characters and different authors. Then there is that ONE novel that comes along and just sucks you right back into it all again. THIS is that novel. So, I’d like to giv [...]

    5. freebies are so often a case of hit or miss. I have found quite a few that have really shocked me, often for different reasons. Some shock me because I cannot contemplate why the book is free, as it deserves to be something everyone is reading; some shock me because I cannot contemplate why they have such high ratings and followings. The Legend of Blue Eyes was supposed to be the first. It had such promise. I’d read a number of decent reviews. Unfortunately, it turned out the book was not to b [...]

    6. It's been a few months since I've read a YA paranormal. I MISSED YOU!!! The Legend of the Blue Eyes is an intriguing tale about night humans. It's nice to read a books that doesn't refer to them as vampires and werewolves and all the classes of night humans have different names. It was exciting to read about each of them; what their powers were, what they need to survive and some of their weaknesses. The main character Arianna can't remember her life before she was taken in by her aunt and uncle [...]

    7. Four stars Other worldly creatures and a reverse harem is my new "count me in" quota. I liked this book, I've seen a lot of complaints in the reviews which for the most part I disagree with. For one, There are so many different characters, paranormal types and events that it's really impressive that the author was able to build the story in such a way. I will say that yes, the relationships with each guy were a bit underdeveloped but I hope that in the second and third book it gets better from h [...]

    8. The Legend of the Blue Eyes was a terrific book, a bit shaky at the start, but it quickly became solid. Arianna is a 15 year old girl who has her life turned upside down in the matter of minutes. She has to come to grips with who and what she is quickly, and meet her real family all on her birthday. Basically, Ari is one of a kind and everyone wants a piece of her, whether to protect or destroy her. Devin is Ari's bodyguard and keeper, even though he's only 17. She has to rely on him to make it [...]

    9. Let me first start by saying there are a lot of Y.A. Supernatural books on the market. McMichael sets her world apart from the others by creating a main character that you believe. Arianna is an average young woman, raised as an average teenager until her 16th Birthday reveals that she isn’t quite like all the others around her. If I had to compare it to something, I would call it Princess Diaries meets Supernatural. The story touches on themes present in some other Supernatural YA: loyalty, t [...]

    10. gahhh, i went gaga on this one!recommend if you like vampire genre type books with a bit of spicy romance in this love POLYGON. no joke. when you think Devin is going to be her leading, Turner comes in too - then you think, OMG not another love triangle thing again! BUT ERRRRKK!! no, another boy comes in too. it just keeps getting interesting and interesting as you keep reading! <3 seriously cannot wait until the next one! ~NOW I'M OFF PLAYING THE WAITING GAME. this definitely sucks. PLEASE S [...]

    11. This was a really interesting book. I particularly liked the concept of the four night humans - dearg-dul, baku, lycan and tengu. Unfortunately, a lot of the novel is dedicated to Arianna, the main character, being doted on and kissed by various boys, rather than on the plot, which was the interesting aspect of this novel. I still don't know what the legend of the blue eyes is, but I don't know if I want to read the second book to find out. Arianna has four boys surrounding her; Devin, Turner, A [...]

    12. I absolutely could not put this book down!! (Hence the 5:22 a.m. review!) FIVE STARS without a doubt to what will become one of my top favorite YA PNR series!Being a teenager is never easy for anyone, but Arianna will soon realize that "she" is not your everyday anyone The daughter of the paranormal version of Romeo and Juliet - a young girl who felt that she never truly belonged will begin to not only find her true self, but the strength and power that many covet, and some despise. She is a leg [...]

    13. **I was given this book in exchange for an honest review**Wowwowowowowow, I mean wow. This book blew me away. From the minute I skimmed the first couple of pages, I was hooked and racing through it.The Legend of the Blue Eyes has my favorite kind of character, a strong amazing and legend-worthy heroine. Arianna is definitely one of my all-time favorite characters! I thought it would really bother me, having her love all of her boys, but I actually don't mind because they are all equally awesome. [...]

    14. I received this book in exchange for an honest review from the “Lovers of Paranormal” Group on and the Author. Once I started reading I could not put this book down. The night human world the author created was different then any book I have read. The characters of Arianna, Devin and Turner are great. On her 16th birthday Arianna is thrown into a world that she could never possibly imagine and she discovers that her entire life has been a lie. She finds herself in the middle of a war that h [...]

    16. Ok, so I'm a little biased, but I'd say that if B.K.'s book "To Stand Beside Her" is a little like "Beauty and the Beast" with a twist, this one's more of a twist on the Cinderella story except in this version Cinderella turns into a vampire.

    17. For this review and more visit Diary of a Wimpy Teen Girl WHOA. This book was so good and intriguing, but yet so different and bizarre that my mouth is still hanging open XDArianna, a typical teenager, finds out that she is a vampire, and not a typical vampire either. She is a both a purebred Baku and a purebred Dearg-dul - two different vampire species that don't get along with each other.Apparently, Arianna is the most powerful night human alive and many people want her hurt. That's why she wa [...]

    18. This review and others can be found on my blog She Has A Knack For It.The Legend of the Blue Eyes by B. Kristin McMichael. It is the first book in The Blue Eyes Trilogy. I received a copy of this book for free in return for my honest review, through the Never Too Old For Y.A. Books Group on . However, I received a copy of the through through Smashwords using a special coupon code from the author. This in no way effects my final review of this book.In the Acknowledgements the author thanks her hu [...]

    19. This book is yet another example of why needs to give me the half star. This is a very solid 3.5 star book. The author did a fantastic job of world building in the book. The characters are well thought out and the plot moves at a nice pace. This is the story of Arianna an orphan who is raised by her Aunt and Uncle in average small town. Everything in Arianna’s life is pretty normal -until it isn’t. She quickly finds out that her heritage is a bit more complicated than she has believed. Her [...]

    20. Can I give this zero stars? This was so painful to read. The only reason I didn't make it a DNF is because I always finish a book. I kept hoping for this to get better and it just didn't happen. At sixteen years old, Arianna discovers she's a vampire. Or, to put it correctly, half dearg-dul and half baku (two different species of 'Night Humans', a name I can't take seriously). While the premise of the different species and their war was interesting, the actually story telling really let it down. [...]

    21. The Legend of the Blue Eyes, is a very unique spin on the usual YA/NA vampire books. In the beginning, we meet Arianna who, as far as we know, is a normal girl. She also believes she is normal and lives a normal, mundane life. For her sixteenth birthday, she's told that she'll be going on a trip but isn't told where, or any other details. The night before she's to leave with her aunt and uncle, she's abducted and taken to see an uncle she didn't know she had. She finds out that people are lookin [...]

    22. Arianna thinks her boring life is all there is. But on her sixteenth birthday she discovers that there is more to her life than she ever knew, more to the world than she ever knew. Not only does she discover that Vampires and Werewolves exist, but she discovers that she is a vampire. As she is thrown into the world of the night humans, not only does she struggle with the fact that she is a vampire, but that she is the stuff of Legend! In Legend of the Blue Eyes we are given a new glimpse into the [...]

    23. I got this book from the author, free of cost, in exchange of an honest review from my side.Firstly I would like to thank B. Kristin McMicchael, author of The Legend of the Blue Eyes, for giving me this opportunity of reading and reviewing this awesome book. Here we meet Arianna, whose life changes completely on her 16th Birthday when she turns into one of a kind of Night Humans aka vampires. She was oblivious to this fact for long sixteen years and didn’t know the history of her parents as wel [...]

    24. LOVED IT LOVED IT LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!I would just like to thank the author 1- for giving me the book to review2- For writing this book in the first place.I was keen to read this after reading To Stand Beside Her and fell in love with the way the author creates a story and she didn't fail with this book either - i was captivated and entranced throughout the book. It carried a perfect balance of everything that the author introduced to the story. It takes a talented writer to absorb me into the sto [...]

    25. I received this book for an honest review. This book had me from the synopsis, I loved the cover. I think B. Kristin McMichael got everything right with this book. This is the first book by this author that I have read, I don't think it will be the last. the pace and flow was just right for me. I read it in one sitting. Our story starts with Arianna Grace, who lives with her aunt and uncle because her parents were murdered. She has the same routine every Friday night when she meets her friends a [...]

    26. Omg!!! This book was sooo amazing that I could NOT put it down! The reading was easy and fluid, I didn't have to stop and re-read. I love the neat new touches the author used in lieu of the same old boring terms for werewolf, vampire, etc. This started out having even me wonder what the heck was going on just as the main character was. I love the explanation of the family and how everything happened. I have been trying to win this book forever and when this opportunity came up I was EXHILARATED! [...]

    27. Great book!I loved that there was more that one paranormal being in the story! Vampires, Lycans, Demons oh my! Arianna's character is truly someone you can connect with because she is that shining light of a girl in a world of hard night humans. Ari is just trying to find her place in this new world which is hard when you are only getting some of the pieces needed with Devin and her grandfather trying to keep her safe. I thought all the characters were great and had a hard time putting the book [...]

    28. Overall, I enjoyed this take on vamipres. The author takes an age old supernatural story and puts a fresh spin on these dark and mysterious creatures of the nightThough I enjoyed it and will definitely be following the future of Arianna and how her story develops, I had some issues with the speed at which the story was unfolded. It felt rushed at times, almost as if there was more to the story and then simplified during editingwhich would also explain some of the editing issues I had.Good read a [...]
