    1. Like a five-minute conversation, this book is brief. What the title doesn't indicate is that this book is just as much about developing good listening skills as it is in training clergy or laity to became better conversation partners (while Roy Bell advocates lay ministry, this book seems more geared towards those in full-time pastoral work). Bell is astute in acknowledging that much of our interactions with pastors take place in brief encounters as opposed to long, detailed one-on-ones. Pastors [...]


    2. I would give this 6 stars if I could. How to make the most of the brief, casual encounters that we have so often. These are times the Holy Spirit has brought us together, and opportunities to touch people's lives. A fairly short, easy-to-read book that is very helpful and encouraging.


    3. This is a nice little book about the power of short, intentional conversations in the context of pastoral care. It is however poorly edited (i.e. mispelled references, etc).
